Za to metodo je zna\u010dilno dolgotrajno kuhanje pri nizkih temperaturah, zato se poenostavljeno imenuje po\u010dasno kuhanje. Glavna prednost po\u010dasnega kuhanja je, da \u017eivila ohranjajo svojo aromo in okus. S tak\u0161no pripravo bo okus dodanih zeli\u0161\u010d in za\u010dimb \u0161e bolj izrazit in meso mehkej\u0161e. \u0160e ena nesporna prednost je, da jedi prakti\u010dno ni mogo\u010de za\u017egati. Po\u010dasno kuhanje v loncu z notranjo kerami\u010dno posodo zagotavlja popolno in enakomerno toplotno obdelavo predvsem celih kosov mesa ter celotne perutnine, torej rac, gosi in drugega. Notranji kerami\u010dni konec se segreva enakomerno in odli\u010dno razporeja temperaturo okoli kuhane jedi. Kerami\u010dni lonec je mogo\u010de uporabiti tudi samostojno za gratiniranje in kratko pe\u010denje v\u00a0pe\u010dici, v njem pa lahko jed tudi servirate na mizo.
